Daniela started playing the accordion in the first grade in 1999. She had never heard of an accordion before she was given the opportunity to try it, but she would grow to love music and the accordion. She studies at the Robert Paolo music studio in Johnston, RI. She has traveled around the country with the accordion, attending festivals, and went to Rome for an internaltional competiton this past fall. She started her first season playing on the gondolas this past summer and enjoys sharing her Italian heritage through music. She currently attends Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Marcello's note: One of Daniela's excursions about the country this past season brought her to the national competition for the electric accordion, which took place in Florida, at which Daniela placed first among all contestants! This entitled her to the international competition in Rome mentioned above in her bio. We here at La Gondola Providence are VERY impressed with and proud of her accomplishments!
